Qualifying and Shootouts explained
Is qualifying the same as a Top Ten Shootout?
No. Qualifying sets the order or decides who advances. Where scheduled, a Top Ten Shootout is a separate session for the fastest ten. Check both start times so you do not miss the final fight for pole.
Why are there several qualifying parts?
The 2026 championship uses different formats by event: a single session, two-part knockout qualifying, or knockout qualifying followed by a Shootout. Endurance events can also have a separate Shootout. Follow the published session names for this round.
Does the fastest qualifying lap confirm pole?
Not always: a Shootout may still follow, and classifications can be provisional. Open the session result and check the event's full timetable. Results here are checked twice daily, not live.
